We had so much fun. On Friday we got engagement pictures taken (which can't be posted online due to copyright issues), registered at Walmart, and saw a Columbus Clippers baseball game (the Clippers are the Div. III team for the Cleveland Indians, and their new park, Huntington Park was rated best baseball park in the country this past year). Saturday morning was our first session of pre-marital counseling with my pastor, and that afternoon we had a picnic supper and hiking with my family. Sunday was church, where he played "Great is Thy Faithfulness" for special music while I accompanied him. Sad Monday morning was taking him to the airport. :-( I cried off and on the entire day.
Well anyway, here are some pictures of our long weekend. Enjoy!
Before the Clippers game my dad took us to a cool restaurant in the Arena District (for those of you outside of Columbus, that is named after Nationwide Arena- the home of the Columbus Blue Jackets Hockey Team- the entire area around is known in Columbus as the Arena District) that serves buffalo burgers among other stuff. They had Sprite in glass bottles (I love pop from glass bottles!!) and the straws were paper-ish. Apparently biodegradable.
This is the delectable strawberry shortcake dessert that Andrew and I split. Wow it was good! By the way- this restaurant also makes it's own homemade dill pickles- 5 stars in my book!
Andrew and I in our seats. We're smilin' because we're so much in love. :-)
Huntington Park sign- this park is highly recommended! Great family park with cheap tickets and lots of fun for all!
